PRESS RELEASE*
Lugano, July 24, 2023
Organized under the patronage of the Municipality of Lugano, and supported by some important crypto companies and by local institutions and universities, the festival is preparing to expand what in past years has been the brilliant experience of the NFT Lugano Week.
The event will be held in the city center and will involve all its public facilities, such as:
- Palazzo dei Congressi 3.700 sqm
- Villa Ciani 1.400 sqm
– Asilo Ciani 580 sqm
3 specific areas will be represented and developed at the event.
NFT Art will include many of the most important international artists and The Cyber Dreams Exhibition at the Asilo Ciani with an exclusive vernissage on 8 September.
NFT Music will represent the new and emerging area of development related to copyright.
NFT Gaming will delve into the Play-To-Earn theme linked to cryptocurrencies through tournaments, exclusive drops, discussions, and presentations developed by the leading industry operators.
More than 100 international speakers are already booked to speak. And dozens of workshops are already planned. Multiple topics will be analyzed, from the creation of Smart Contracts and NFTs to copyright through blockchain, on Swiss and European regulations in the crypto world; moreover, artists will have the opportunity to embark on a journey in which they will be guided to translate their physical or analogue art into digital assets.
The Mayor of the city Michele Foletti, says:
“Lugano has declared itself a pole of technological revolution and it has already demonstrated this in recent years with concrete and tangible initiatives that really work, such as the MyLugano project with its LVGA
cryptocurrency. Lugano is therefore very happy to welcome an event like this. Yet another demonstration of being an avant-garde and open city”.
Roberto Gorini, director of the festival and founder of noku.io, explains the objectives of the initiative:
“The festival was born from the idea of uniting culture and technology. We will focus on the innovative aspects, but also on the social revolutions that these new forms of interaction propose. Decentralization is a fundamental theme of our future, and the festival aims to be the meeting point of this entire international community”.
